Training involves preparing someone for something. It becomes even more important when implementing new projects that change how we do things, like in the case of Tripanko.

That is why we continue to train to use Helm, either through in-person or online classes.

In June, our on-board personnel in Mexico took part in Helm training sessions given by Héctor López, a Helm Internal Key User in Mexico.

These courses to present the platform to tug captains took place at the ports of Lázaro Cárdenas, Altamira, Tampico, Tuxpan and Veracruz. At the sessions, the students learned about Helm’s “On Board” Module, where they can record operational information that feeds the billing process. Also, to review what they learned, each week they are participating in practical sessions via Zoom given by the official Helm supplier.

Héctor López, internal trainer, commented: “The Helm training sessions were a big challenge given the short time frame we had. However, with support from the Finance, Commercial, Human Resources and Operations areas, as well as the great attitude of the crews, we achieved our goal of training the entire crew of SAAM Towage Mexico in just four short weeks.”

Soon we will launch courses in the Corporate Academy to review content and support new personnel that needs to be trained how to use Helm.

Also, in the next few months, we will conduct training sessions in other countries in the network.

Remember that your role is key to the success of this project. So, we invite you to participate actively in each of the training sessions, where you will acquire the tools you need to learn in depth about Helm and NSE to take maximum advantage of these systems.
