NSE training for the teams in Ecuador, Canada and El Salvador took place in August. At the sessions, the maintenance, operations, accounting, administration, systems and talent teams became well acquainted with this new maintenance and purchasing management software. Topics covered included maintenance management, purchase processing, mobile application use, document management, reporting and KPIs and drydock management.

Jorge Monserrate, Maintenance System Supervisor at SAAM Towage Ecuador, commented, “The main objective of the activity is to provide the areas involved with an in-depth view of the system, its scope and functionality as well as proper management of the processes at each stage. The information gleaned from the sessions and materials has been very helpful when interacting with the NSE platform.” He also said that, thanks to the examples provided, “We have learned the flow, treatment and resolution of the different situations that can occur during everyday processes.”

Vanessa Marques, Maintenance Planner at SAAM Towage Canada, remarked that the training has been very useful for “better understanding the system’s functionalities. Participants have been able to learn more about how to operate each module and how it can make our daily tasks more efficient.”

Finally, Adolfo Velasco, Head of Operations at SAAM Towage El Salvador, said that the training “has been fundamental to mastering the software. This additional knowledge will be an important contribution to comprehensively managing the company’s assets.”

The following phase will be to train onboard crews. This will be done in-house by the trainer at each operation.
