In July, NSE training was offered in Guatemala. Attendees learned how to use the software, a system that manages tug maintenance and acquisitions as well as office purchasing and procurement.

Fourteen people participated in this new face-to-face training, which lasted about 24 hours and included theoretical and practical segments.

One trainee, SAAM Towage Engineer Alex Gámez, commented that “learning about this system was really important for understanding and integrating the single-step systems. It will impact the effectiveness with which we do, request and control daily processes, like work orders, purchase orders and reinforcing computer use. I am grateful to the instructor. Beyond the knowledge she shared, she was very friendly and made the training really dynamic.”

The training prepared all office and crew personnel to effectively process maintenance for each vessel, correctly organize and record hours for each team, control potential failures, download reports, review inventory and monitor each material or service required.
