NSE (Nautical System Enterprise) software will undoubtedly bring multiple benefits for SAAM Towage teams.  That is why more employees are getting to know the platform and its functionalities every day. They are learning to operate the new technology, primarily used to manage vessel maintenance and purchasing.

In that context, office personnel and the superintendents responsible for vessels in Chile began the training process in September and October. Participants learned about the different modules, applications and a series of case studies in 19 two-hour sessions.

Contents included detailed information about the maintenance, purchasing, drydocking, document management, reporting and KPI modules as well as the Workboat and Superintendent applications.

Next Steps

Once the platform has been installed on the tugs, the crew training process will begin. At that time, the team from the Maintenance Department will deploy throughout the country to begin familiarizing on-board personnel with the software.
