Reynaldo Ariza, from the SAAM Towage Colombia team, gets us up to speed on that country’s progress with NSE. As a key user for the Maintenance Department, he has followed the implementation process closely.

“It has been an intense process, with lots of hard work and dedication. We are firmly committed since standardizing at the corporate level will enable us to take advantage of resources in order to guarantee our fleet’s operational availability,” he explains.

Today Colombia is in the Data Population phase, which Ariza describes as “the backbone that will support processes within NSE. All information uploaded into the system will be the foundation for planning the tasks and activities to be carried out to prolong the useful life of our equipment.” SAAM Towage Colombia operates 17 tugs, which also provide services in Honduras.

The next phase “involves training and educating our coworkers who will use NSE,” he concluded.
