SAAM Towage Ecuador is the first team to leverage the advantages of the course “Our Nautical Systems Enterprise Software.” Custom designed for SAAM Towage, the course will familiarize participants with all NSE features they need to do their jobs.

Carolina Luengo, Head of the HR Projects Division for SAAM Towage, describes the process behind this important tool, which has been available on the Corporate Academy (Moodle) since January 25th: “The design process took over eight months and was a joint effort by members of the corporate NSE project team, SAAM Towage’s HR Division and an external expert in course design. Their goal was to build all content and deliver it in a dynamic format.”

According to Luengo, the course combines different resources such as videos and dynamic and practical presentations that simulate the software, taking participants on a journey where diverse characters face real situations that employees might experience while using NSE.

Among other advantages, the course is available 24/7, so each employee can organize their time and break the training down into different sessions to balance learning with their daily responsibilities. In addition, it brings together in one place all content needed by each employee, based on their profile, to learn about both the software and internal maintenance and purchasing procedures.

The course is available to the SAAM Towage Ecuador team until February 28th. In the future, it is expected to be progressively rolled out at all operations in order to support NSE implementation.

“Each course is expected to serve as daily support for employees. Every time they have a question about some aspect of the procedures and software or need to practice anything, they can go back and review the course to continuously reinforce their knowledge. This tool also allows us to conduct training on an ongoing basis for new employees as they join the company or those who need to learn the NSE functionalities,” concluded Luengo.
