A new way of doing things always teaches lessons. SAAM Towage Mexico, which is in the lead in terms of Helm implementation, held a special session to share the lessons it has learned along the way.

Teams from Corporate, Panama, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Uruguay and Brazil participated.

Héctor López, from the Projects and Processes team at SAAM Towage Mexico, explained that the main objective was “to transmit everything we think was relevant or even risky, during project implementation, from the initial data collection to developing inter-systems communication.”

He thinks the main lesson is “take enough time to analyze the data that will be initially uploaded, what will be recorded once the platform is operational and what you want as a result of that uploading and recording. It could be an invoice or a report.”

López believes that Helm will make it possible to obtain sufficient, reliable information to analyze the market and subsequently make decisions that boost business growth.
