Cristián Cifuentes, Country Manager for SAAM Towage Chile and Peru:

“Tripanko prepares SAAM Towage to continue growing”

Cristián Cifuentes, Country Manager for SAAM Towage Chile and Peru commented on the Tripanko process in both countries. As a main challenge, he named the upcoming training on NSE and Helm software, which he also called “key to the success of any implementation at this level.” “I have faith that this is the right decision and the path we need to take,” he adds.

What will implementation of the new software mean?

Software implementation means a change in day-to-day tasks for the technical and operating teams for the fleet in Chile and a new system for our operations in Peru. For the last eight years, we have operated only with SAP. This change, a tremendous challenge for everyone, will standardize systems for all our operations.

How do you envision Tripanko’s impact on SAAM Towage operations in Chile?

I think a company the size of SAAM Towage today needs Tripanko. We have mature systems operating in our fleet, just not the same one across all operations. Tripanko’s impact will be a change in philosophy and will modernize our systems. Tripanko prepares us to continue growing.

How have the teams taken it?

It has been well received by the technical, operating and commercial teams. We are working on getting feedback from the fleet soon. We know that with a good training process and communication, the project will be a success.
