Carolina Brailow is an NSE Key User at SAAM Towage Mexico. Her responsibilities include training crews and administrative personnel to use the software, as well as participating in other areas of the project such as configuring the system, reviewing theoretical and practical aspects of processes, detecting improvement opportunities and helping develop the user support platform and interactive courses.

In this role, Carolina traveled to Costa Rica and Guatemala in June to train crew members and administrative personnel.

“The NSE training sessions were done in person and included topics like equipment maintenance, registration of equipment operating hours, procurement requests for materials and services, among other topics,” recalls Carolina.

In Guatemala the sessions took place at Puerto Quetzal and in Guatemala City, with a total of 14 participants, including tug captains, engineers and office staff.

A few days later, 18 people met in Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, to learn how to use NSE.

But training does not end there. “Soon we will continue with Mexico, where we will be training employees at the ports of Veracruz, Tuxpán, Tampico, Altamira, Lázaro Cárdenas, Topolobampo and Dos Bocas,” the key user mentioned.

Carolina has been conducting training sessions for almost three years. However, she is happy with the experience of training employees from other countries.

“I am Venezuelan, and for me it is incredible to be able to see more regions of Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica, as well as their people, culture, food and a bit of their traditions,” she concluded.
